Clear the Clutter
No deep decluttering required — just pick up what’s sitting on the carpet so our team can reach every inch. Shoes, toys, books, and small electronics are the usual suspects, and clearing them also removes tripping hazards for our technicians.
Move the Light Furniture
Heavy pieces can stay put. But floor lamps, plant stands, coffee tables, and ottomans should be relocated until the carpet is clean and dry — our technicians aren’t licensed furniture movers, so this one’s on you. It makes a real difference in how thoroughly we can clean.
Secure Anything Valuable
Our team works carefully, but accidents happen. Tuck away fragile items, heirlooms, and valuables somewhere before we arrive.
Point Out Problem Spots
We run a pre-inspection and spot test before we start, but you know your carpet better than anyone. If a particular stain has been driving you crazy, tell us. Same goes for pet urine — and if there’s a significant amount, mention it when you schedule so we can come prepared.
Give Pets a Separate Space
The solutions in our Hot Carbonating Extraction (H.C.E.) process are effective, but a curious dog underfoot slows everyone down, and some pets don’t love strangers in the house. Set them up in another room, or take them out entirely if we’re cleaning your whole home. They’ll have the run of a fresh carpet in just a few hours.
Plan for Parking
We often use van-mounted equipment, so parking close to the door helps enormously — and even when it’s not needed, we still have gear to carry in. Please leave a clear path to the service area, and give us a heads-up in advance if you’re in an apartment building or anywhere access might be tricky.
